Why your GP needs you to be concise and accurate

by

It’s easy to criticise your GP for not taking down everything you say, or making a mistake about how your accident happened, or not realising that you hurt more than one body part.
When you get this sort of insight into the pressures that they have every minute of every day, it makes you realise how important it is for you to be focused and ready for your appointment with the GP.

Prepare for it. Write some notes. Treat it like a test or an interview. Give your Doctor a short (half page) written summary of what happened and how it affects you. The more that you can have ready for them, the easier it is for them to get to the heart of the problem and treat your injury.

Help them to help you.
