You may have been told that you have to use your union’s lawyers, that your costs will be higher if you don’t use the union lawyer, or that your costs will only be paid if you use a union laywer, or that the union lawyers are always the best.

None of this is true.

The truth is you can use any solicitor you want, for any claim or advice you want, whenever you want.

Your legal costs will be paid if you win the case, whichever lawyer you use. A union lawyer doesn’t have any advantages over any other lawyer.
